For as long as I can remember, my life has largely focussed around wine. From assisting my grandfather bottling wine on his hobby vineyard, a lifelong love began. Beginning in Australia I worked at such places as the famous Lake House in Daylesford as Assistant Sommelier, and high-end boutique Australian producer Ten Minutes by Tractor. Heading to French terrain to broaden my wine horizons, I was the Sommelier at the renown One&Only Le Saint Geran in Mauritius, including at Alain Ducasses’ ‘Spoon’ where I became the group’s top selling Sommelier worldwide. I spent further time working for Alan Ducasse in the Luberon in Provence, France before moving to Zuma’s flagship restaurant in Dubai where I was Head Sommelier in charge of a wine & sake team of 12. I also spoke at Hotel conferences and was the Sommelier for Ferrari’s F1 dinner in Abhi Dhabi.

On my return I worked alongside the Beverage Director of Merivale designing lists, purchasing wines and training the enormous team before starting my own company specialising in wine education and consulting. I now work as the Beverage Manager for the Lancemore Hotel Group and am lucky enough to live amongst the vineyards of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula with my family.

The best bit is that I am still learning and growing – it never stops.
